The Dave Matthews Band and Neil Young and Crazy Horse rocked the town. The concert opened with the funky, jazz-oriented groove trio Soulive. A good time was had by all, especially Dave who was I must say in total awe of Neil and rightly so. The two played to the hilt, out-guitaring each other in an explosive duet of All Along The Watchtower that brought the house down. The mob was exceptionally well-behaved, "mellow" as was said in olden times and the party went on throughout the night. Below are a few post-Midnight pics of the UVA Corner, manipulated in Photoshop using cutout and find edge filters after adjusting red hue, contrast, light and saturation. All is well in Charlottesville this Sunday morning after, but we will never forget what the boys, Tawatha (the only Indian besides myself that I could identify), Cindy, and Brenda brought to Charlottesville last night. They did it!

This (May 6, 2002) week we remember the tragic shooting of four students at Kent State University in Ohio 31 years ago. The incident inspired Neil Young to write the hit song "Ohio."
