Studio Valentine is in its 11th year of producing fine art and graphic design. Located in the heart of Charlottesville one block from Court Square the Studio is easily accessible. The first Studio opened All Hallows' Eve 1995 in a huge warehouse space on West Main Street on a month-to-month lease with not much more than an easel, drawing board and ancient Mac. Five years later the Studio moved to the UVA Corner on Elliewood Avenue where it resided for three years. By that time paintings and drawings had been produced and sold, and there was a new chartreuse green iMac on the table complete with a new copy of PhotoShop. The flight from Elliewood to the magic turret on Park Street was a wild ride but worth every hair-raising moment as one can see from the animation above.
Virginia Valentine Coles has many years of design experience. Her first important graphic design project at age fourteen was the brochure cover for an international White House conference on children and youth. That was many years ago but the thrill of seeing ideas translated graphically is just as fresh today. Artistic yet practical, Studio Valentine meets >every project with excitement and efficiency. Whether you need a web site or a cup of tea, come visit the magical turret (upstairs) and GUARANTEED you will not be disappointed! P.S. We respond to the call "RAPUNZEL, RAPUNZEL, LET DOWN YOUR HAIR."
