Charlottesville, Virginia, April 30, 2004: The planets were auspicisouly configured in the heavens and the sun was setting as Farah flew blissfully high above the Qawwali on her magic carpet, sitting cross-legged, bathed in sensous oils of African violet, gardenia and Moroccan rose warmed with exotic amber, rare spices and sandalwood and dressed for travel, a bright light following THE SOUND into her mystical past. A golden glint touched her eyes and she swept down, plunging her ivory-handled Sufi scabbard into The Master's magic golden shoes and brought them close to her. The Master was so engrossed he did not notice and if he did notice, he did not care. Farah had been searching for such shoes her entire life. She clapped her hands hidden beneath her mantle like a child and every molecule of her body desired THE SOUND like no other thing. The mortals on the ground were celebrating their grand luck to have come upon THE SOUND in a most unusual place and the performers were deep in ecstasy. All was well so she entreated the zephyrs to speed her journey as she was anxious to rest in her tent of magic carpets in the soft glow of carved Persian fairy lamps and to sip a bowl of hot jasmine tea remembering her delicious voyage. Farah's palamino coloured Arabian stallion Azzemoud (olive branch) was awaiting her return. She loved racing him bareback across the desert with her brothers and sisters, carrying the flags of all nations, robes and ribbons flying. . . racing to Jihad on Azzemoud. . . Farah's peace pony.
THE SOUND: Classical Qawwali singing is an ancient, esoteric dialect of TONE to COLOUR to LIGHT in which all knowledge from the beginning of civilized time is hermetically sealed, passed from generation to generation of human instruments who translate most exquisitely THE SOUND. Their gifts are a mystery. Upon experiencing THE SOUND one asks "how can such a thing be produced by mortal men?" ANSWER: "It is not produced by mortal men it merely EMINATES FROM mortal men." THE SOUND is a manifestation of the complex undiscovered (vibrating) string theory formula . . .TONE theory is the proper designation. There are absolutely no anomalies in THE SOUND, the voice of ALLAH. It is Sufism and Science, it holds the answers to all the questions, it is the perfect tonal model of the universe.
