St. Simons Island, 2002 - 2003

...vanished into the vanishing point today...quite expected to see a tall, lithe nymph bathing at the point of no return...could taste the salt...turned to wave at blue sky eyes...they were sleeping...it was dawn, not dusk...hopped on the back of a large, melancholy crab and ambled East (wonder what makes a crab sad?)...kissed him ever so softly on his only tear and we said our good-byes...constructed a love letter in the sand knowing it would not disappear as Neptune would peruse it at his leisure...buried a scarab at sea with full honours, all potential lost...wrapped up in seaweed memories and awaited first light of day... another day in paradise...not lost but certainly missing...to be found tripping on sand dunes not a care in her hair...
